Lady is a fabulous girl who loves to spend her days curled up on the foot of the bed napping or looking out the window. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle so I won’t adopt her to anyone who isn’t a cuddle person. She is very easy going but occassionally will have a burst of energy and run around with a toy. I love seeing her that way. She also loves to go for walks but doesn’t need a ton of exercise. She is great with other dogs of all sizes (snuggles w the chihuahuas all day).

Hazel is a very sweet girl but super shy of the world. She has her routine, and her favorite spots and she stils to those most days. She will play with her brother but mostly just enjoys the deck b/c the kennel house is overwhelming to her. When volunteers come she gets very excited, wagging and wiggling but she stays 10 feet away from them. Hazel grew up here and has never gone anywhere other than to the vet. She requires a fenced yard, another dogs, someone with patience and who understands that I will have to bring her over at least once before actually leaving her somewhere. We want to set her up for success.

Areesa loves to play. She runs zoomies and plays chase with her dog friends every morning. They play tug of war and just have a blast. She has a lot of energy and need someone who will have time to train her to not bounce when happy . At night she sleeps curled up on a blanket in her crate but once in a new home the crate might not be needed once adjusted to your schedule.

Areesa is very smart but can be shy at first. It takes her about five minutes to warm up to new people. Once they sit down she’s excited to see them. FENCED YARD AND ANOTHER DOG REQUIRED She is a follower not a leader and needs another confident playful dog in the house. She has a bestie at the kennel house in case you need two!

Caycee is super smart and is constantly watching and trying to catch anything that flies. She chases bubble bees, butterflies, birds and she even watches airplanes! Whenever poeple visit she has to see them. She sits, leans on them, stares into their souls and paws them for attention. She is a doll.

I feel she may need another dog companion because she has never been alone. Caycee started her life chained to a fence for the first 10 months, then she came to us and has never been adopted. Everyone loves her though. Due to the chaining she still does not like to walk on leash.

*SPECIAL NEEDS* Hannah is playful and good with other dogs, cats are unknown, no kids. She is housebroken and crate trained but terrified of the leash.

Hanna came from an abusive background and needs a gentle home with patience to allow her to settle in and someone who understands her quirks. Fenced yard needed and possibly another dog she can watch and learn to trust her new person. If she gets scared (always for some reason I don’t see), she sits and paws at me to “shake” and make friends again and then retreats to her crate to where she hoards all the toys. You cannot grab her collar for any reason. I am still working with her to allow me to pet around the collar but I think when she was younger, someones used to yank her up by the collar and now she panics.

Tolley is a sweet, petite, pitty girl. She loves play fetch and listens great. She is always happy to see me and wags her litte short tail so fast it blurs. She is good with dogs of all sizes but can be weird with strangers. She loves them as long as they don’t do anything fast, then she will bark at them. By fast I mean, we have had people run or do some dance moves and it freaks her out. LOL She walks great on leash but we don’t take her places b/c of her anxiety around fast moving strangers. I can flip her over, jump around and so anything to her b/c she knows me. She is housebroken and crate trained. She also had a knee surgery a few years ago b/c she hurt herself turning fast in the mulch playing ball.

Cricket loves everyone and is too smart for her own good. That is probably how she ended up on the side of I20 and hit by a car, b/c she was adventurous and has a I can do anything attitude. After multiple surgeries as a puppy to repair 3 breaks, her legs still aren’t great but she runs and jumps like a normal dog. She will forever need joint supplements because her joints aren’t moving like normal dogs but her disabilities don’t slow her down. Ocassionally I have to give her a pain medication but that is very rare. I think she has built up a tolerance that normal life is living with this pain she must have b/c again, it doesn’t slow her down. A home without a ton of steps would be ideal b/c as she ages, her abilities could change.

I know asking someone to take on a dog that has potential future orthopedic issues is asking a lot. Of course, we will always be here to do our best to assist with any future problems BUT THIS BABY DESERVES A HOME.

River is a very swet, super smart boy who listens well and just needs a nice quiet home with a fenced yard and another dog to follow and learn from. He and his brother, Rusty, have been together since birht but I think River would benefit from not being around Rusty’s anxiety ridden personality. River loves to play and will bond with another dog given time. He loves toys and will hoard them in his crate. He is housebroken and crate trained. I can open the crate and tell him to stay and he won’t budge until I say “come”. River doesn’t know how to walk on a leash so a fenced yard is required and someone with patience to allow him to come around on his own time. I will also require that we visit at least one time before I leave him in a new home. We want to set him up for success.

Remi can be an active her who loves hikes or she can be a couch potato. She matches your energy most of the time. She spends her days lounging, napping, chew on a toy and looking out the window. She also enjoys the deck and will bake herself until I make her come in. She is a love bug. Remi is on Apoquel once a day for allergies. She continues to chew her back no matter what we have tried and this seems to be the only thing that works for her. Maybe a new home could work on figuring out what she is allergic too but in the kennel house its tough.

Rusty is a super sweet, loving boy but he is high energy and on anxiety meds b/c without him he is a wreck. I think living in the noise and chaos of the kennel house and not helped and if we can get him into a quiet home, he can be worked through his “crazy”. LOL Rusty loves to play but he also loves to get on the bed and nap. The funny thing is if I touch his foot while he’s sleeping he will jump and look at me like I have seriously offended him and then he will come to me for love. Rusty needs a fenced yard, a quiet home with another dog to watch and learn from, someone who will be patient and understand that it will take time to get him adjusted. He also barks at strangers but if they ignore him he eventually stops. This too will get better with a normal home. Housebroken and crate trained, his crate is his security so this will need to continue at least for a while in a new home. You will also need to understand that he may need to visit a couple of times before I leave him b/c we want to set him up for success.

Minnie used to be full of energy but now she just likes to hang around on the foot of the bed all day so she has gained weight. She loves to play fetch so we have started getting her out for a game everyday but with this heat we haven’t been able to do much. She would probably love going for walk once she adjusted to a new home. It would be new to her but we used to walk when we did adoption events. A FENCED YARD would be the best thing for potty breaks but she might learn to potty on leash with time and patience. She also loves the water hose. She gets along well with all the other dogs and I think she would be fine with cats .
