Foster Home Notes: Petie is a doll baby with a sweet little personality full of love. He is NOT crazy active but he does love to play. He loves to chase the water hose and lay in the baby pool to cool off. He loves to play ball and chase his toys and his squeaky toys are his favorite! He listens very well and comes when called and goes in his bed when told. Petie is fine with most of my dogs and loves to run with them and play with them but this is not always the case with one of my larger dogs. He doesn't like her and barks at her alot. Petie is very submissive to me and will need someone with dog experience who can be the alpha personality in the relationship. Jack Russell's will typical do whatever they can get away with but Petie just wants to please. It took him a while to warm up to me at first b/c he was just confused but now he is a mama's boy and he loves to wiggle that short little tail of his for treats. He is a great little dog, he just needs to be an only dog where he can get lots of love. He needs a secure fenced yard or someone to leash walk him alot.
History: Petie was the vet to be euthanized by his owner b/c he didn't get alone with her other dog and she didn't want to deal with it anymore. I happen to be there and offered to take him. She told me Petie used to be fine but he was attacked last year by some dogs running free and she thinks in hindsight he may have thought her other dog was involved in the confusion. since the attack, he has had issues with other dogs. As stated above though, he now lives with me and several dogs and he is doing fine once I laid down the law! :) |

Foster Home Notes:Skippy is a precious little boy and sometimes he looks like a cartoon dog! LOL He has the biggest eyes and the biggest ears on this tiny little boy and when he looks up at me, he is just cute! He also prances when he walks! Skippy is a puppy at heart. He loves his toys and he loves to play with the other small dogs. He doesn't chew on things in the house as long as I keep toys around for him. He is very good about going outside to potty but I have to still go with him. Skippy is still play biting where he gently puts his mouth on your arm or hand to play. We are working on training him not to do this anymore and he is very smart so he will pick it up pretty quickly. Skippy comes when called and goes into his crate when given a treat. He sleeps on the bed at night but can't jump up on his own. He just stands on the side, gives me his best "I love you mommy" look and I pick him up! LOL Skippy is still a fairly active little dogs so he will need someone to play with him and walk him or run him in the backyard.
History: Skippy was picked up stray by the county shelter then adopted out to a family. That family tried to return him to the shelter when they realized they really couldn't afford to care for him well but the shelter is temporarily shut down. They contacted us for help. |

|
Foster Home Notes: Wedo is a wonderful, playful little guy. He plays his little heart out with his doggie siblings and really will need another dog in his new home. Wedo listens well and is totally housebroken. He loves to sit in his dad's lap and snuggle up close when he is tired. He is so cute how he prances around on alert for bugs, birds or whatever he can play with.
History: Wedo was a stray that a friends brother brought home from the shelter. Her brother lives with her and she said "no more dogs!" so we took him to find him a home. |

Foster home notes: Chipper is a sweet little guy with a funny personality and lots of love to give. He is very shy at first and will need someone who can be patient and wait for him to get comfortable with his new surroundings. This could take days, it could take weeks. Chipper needs a home with another small dog or dog friendly cat. He requires leash walking only. We have already had instances where large birds think he is a rabbit so he can not be off leash at all. Chipper is spoiled rotten and loves to be carried around. when I take him outside he has me carry him down the deck steps, then he will prance on leash like a little deer and do his business. When he is done, he lays down and waits for me to carry in him back up the stairs! It could be that that they are tall and open so he is fearful of falling but he certainly has me trained. Chipper loves to run around and find the tiny little stuffed animals and bring them back to his bed for company. He wiggles that little butt with happiness but all the while unsure if he will get in trouble for it. He also loves to give kisses. Chipper is great with the cat. Actually they are partners in crime! The cat walks across the dresser and knocks things off, then Chipper runs and collects them and hide them under the bed. We wondered where things were going then one day we cleaned under the bed!!!! Chipper needs a home with no small children (now or in the future) where life is quiet and he can have peace and he can have lots of toys!. He would love to have another dog to snuggle with or a cat that likes dogs.
Note: Chipper needs a dental cleaning b/c he has several loose teeth in the front. We can not afford it right now but if e gets adopted we will put that fee towards his teeth.
History: Chipper was picked up by the shelter. Then a family adopted him and give him as a Christmas present to their daughter. She didn't like him.

Foster Home Notes: Probie is a sweet little man who loves to sit with his paws in your lap or next to you as long as he can lean on you to be close. He listens well and is very smart and loyal. When he is out of food or water you know it b/c he will toss his bowl around making noise until you fill it up!. I love when I fill the water bowl and he licks his lips in anticipation. Probie just wants to be loved. I have never seen a dog so committed and loyal to his person as Probie. He follows me everywhere and just quietly watches me. He loves to go for walks and to the dog park. He enjoyed his stay at Doggie Day Care last week when I was out of town and even didn't seem to want to leave! Probie does have one flaw...he is protective when strangers come in the house. If they ignore him, he will be fine and eventually come to them but if they face off with him and try to pet him, he will run around barking. He is also best with women over men. Our trainer said he needs a home with another dog so he doesn't feel like it is his job to be protective of the home.
History: Probie has spent his little life on a rope in the yard with no shelter except to get under his deck. When the family moved they let him loose and left him behind. He was very skinny and dirty when we took him in. |

Foster Home Notes: Grady is a fun, playful little man who is the best of both worlds. He loves to curl up and sleep or just look out the window but he also loves to go for walks or trot around the yard guarding the house from those vicious birds ands squirrels. Grady listens very well and a love bug. He curls up at the bottom of my bed to sleep at night but also enjoys his dog bed when I accidentally kick him off in the middle of the night, He is great with the other dogs but did try and chase the cat. . Most of the time, Grady is sitting on the back of the chair looking out the window. He does enjoy his evening walk and is very good on leash. He doesn't pull but he does zig zag always looking for the most interesting thing he can sniff. He got out of the house once but when he realized the other dog that was with him had responded to my recall and came home, he got bored and came back too. Don't let Grady's age turn you off. This little man has 10 years left in him and he needs someone to love him! He is an awesome dog you just need to meet him and give him a chance
History: Grady was a stray turned into animal control after being found running on a busy road where his little doggie friend had already been killed. No one ever came to claim him. We rescued him on his last day before they were going to euthanize him. |

Foster Home Notes: Lewie is a loving little man with a sweet personality. He is so quiet and stoic that sadly it is easy to forget he is here. His favorite spot is on the clean laundry on the laundry table. He loves it best when I throw the warm towels up there. He is so cute. Lewie is a smart little boy and just needs someone to love him and pamper him. He doesn't know any special tricks b/c he gives me this look like the tricks are below him and he can't believe I am asking him to do that! LOL Lewie sleeps on my bed in a tiny little ball. He is respectful of my personal space but would cuddle up close if there was room. He loves to go to walks and is great with everyone he meets.
History: Lewie and his friend Lizzy were picked up stray together by Animal Control. We took them out on their last day before they were to be killed b/c the shelter had no more room. Lizzy seems attached to him, he doesn't seem to care that she exists! |

Foster Home Notes: Sunshine is a sweetheart. She can sit, shake and speak on command and will paw at your foot if you take too long to give her her treat! She follows me around everywhere and loves to lay on the cool floor with her little legs sprawled out and her belly flat. She loves to just come and sit by me when I rest and just hang out. She is afraid of the camera though. :) Sunshine just wants a normal life again where she can live in peace and retire. She love to go for walks and waddles with her little fat body. She needs to lose a few pounds and get her girlish figure back. She also loves to go for car rides but be careful, she knows how to roll the window down! Sunshine sleeps on the foot of my bed but she would be happy in a dog bed nearby. She can't jump up or down so she has to be helped. Her hearing and eye sight seem perfectly fine. Please overlook her age and give her a loving retirement home.
History: Sunshine was picked up stray by Animal Control. |

He ignores the cat, doesn't flinch when the baby goes towards him and loves to play with the other dogs. He always has one ear up and one ear down which makes him especially cute! Opie is a love bug. He loves to sit on my lap and get lots of hugs. He loves his toys and tosses his ropes and bones in the air or shoves them in my other dogs face to get him to play. Opie loves to go for walks and see all the sites. He is good on leash and so small he doesn't pull.
History: Opie was abandoned at the dog park and lived out there alone for over a week until I got a call and put out a dog trap and caught him. He was too terrified to come to anyone. |

Foster home notes: Mikey is happy, rolly polly beagle boy. He spends his days on the bed or couch napping or looking out the window waiting, longing for his daily walk. He loves to go for walks and knows his schedule. If you get off schedule he will whimper and dance by the door to let you know “hey, lets go!”. When I have volunteers come over he dances for them begging to go for a walk. He is so silly. Mikey loves everyone he meets. He is good, gentle and loves to play with the other dogs. He likes to torment the cats so no kitties for him. He is great with kids as well. Mikey will have to wear a belly band for the first couple of weeks in a new home. Each time we have moved him to a new foster home, he marks but quickly gets over it. No problem, he is just a boy who feels the need to establish his territory so we fool him with the belly band!
History: Mikey ran across the road in front of a friend's truck. He was carrying his dinner, a prized dead bird he had found somewhere. Mikey was only 11 lbs when he should be more like 22. He had been out on his own for along time. When my friend pulled over, he come to her sweetly just wanting to be loved. She put him in her car and rushed him to the vet out of concern for his health b/c you could see every bone in his body. Amazingly, he was heartworm Negative and his bloodwork looked great! |

Foster Home Notes: Daisy is a sweet, snuggly, playful girl. She loves to toss her toys in the air and then try and shake them to death. She can't have stuffed toys b/c she destroys them but boy does she have fun doing it so she gets cheap ones on special occasions! Daisy likes to play ball and go for walks. She also loves to go to the dog park. Daisy sleeps under the covers and snuggles up close. Daisy is good with kids but a little scared of them. She attaches herself to one person in the household and doesn’t play with children. She seems dismayed by them and little scared. She lets them pet her and is fine outside of the home but we placed her in a home with kids once and she refused to go near them! She needs a home with children over 10 yrs of age or no children at all. If you want a loving, loyal, playful girl full of spirit and smart as can be, here she is!
History: Daisy was abandoned by her family a couple of years ago and rescued by a nice lady. That lady now has way too many dogs b/c she wants to save them all. We are helping her care for and place some of the dogs. |

Foster Home Notes: Coby is a quiet, sweet little doll baby who just sits and stares at me all the time. He longs to go back to a normal household where he can be spoiled rotten. Coby follows me from room to room and always seem to find a comfy dog bed to curl up on while he waits for me to move again. He is great with my other dogs and on occasion will try and play with them. He loves his toys, especially the parrot that plays music. Coby is housebroken and easy going. He sits, and also sits up on his hind legs and waves at you for treats. He would do best in a home without small children. He has been known to nip when he feels fearful. I can explain this further to a potential home. Nothing to be concerned about. Coby just wants to be spoiled like he was for so many years.
History: We adopted Coby out when he was 1 1/2 yrs old. He had come to us as a stray. Coby was recently returned b/c his mom lost her job and house. |

Foster Home Notes: Romeo is a doll baby who just wants to be loved. He gets so happy when you come home or go anywhere near the treat bag. He is very food motivated and sits on command. He is the more independent of the two brothers (see Caesar below). When outside he likes to wonder around and check everything out and make sure he leaves a trail to tinkle to find his way home. He is the toy and bone hoarder as well. When groomed, Romeo was good and calm and just really wanted his belly to be rubbed. He is such a good boy and longs to have a home of his own who will spoil him rotten. He does get on the furniture and I am leaving him free run when I am not home and so far he has been a perfect angel. They both have been. When considering adoption a dog with long hair, please consider the cost of grooming as this will be a lifelong commitment.

Foster Home Notes: Caeser is the calmer more dependent of the two brothers (see Romeo above). He follows me around and comes in immediately when I call him. He doesn't like the heat and he isn't interested in being outside alone. He follows Romeo's lead most of the time. Caeser is very loving and loves to be held. He lets his brother take his toys and is the more stoic in personality. During grooming he was a wiggle worm and not a happy camper but he was sweet and just wanted to get down or go back to be loved upon. I am leaving him and his brother free run when I am not home and all is well. He does get on the furniture.
